WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Organic farming is a type of farming which avoids the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, growth regulators, and livestock feed additives. Organic farming as an alternative form of farming can be cost effective as a result of lack of use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Moreover, it can result to production of healthy food free from harmful chemicals, artificial flavors and preservatives, reduced risk of food contamination with pesticides residues and positive environmental effects in terms of reduced soil degradation in nutrients. This 5 days course will equip the participants with knowledge of how to produce organically.
